Woodcut and engraving styles achieved through scratchboard techniques and digital means, and a classic pen-and-ink style, are both offered by this Denver-area artist. Perkins%u2019 special appreciation for vintage, historic, and whimsical imagery in b&w or color has led to assignments in full illustration as well as spots, logos, and border treatments. He specializes in animals, food, characters, vessels and vehicles, maps, and vintage work. Client projects for food and beverage packaging, travel and resort development, and finance and investment fields seek his illustration solutions. They include Princess Cruises, Coors, Samuel Adams, Publix, Pei Wei (P F Chang's), Grolsch, Killian%u2019s, Snapple, Kraft, Outback Steakhouse, G E Capital, GTE, L L Bean, Honda, Toyota, Ryobi, and the Wall Street Journal.  Perkins is also an accomplished and recorded blues musician and composer with his band, Kenny Perkins and the Nightshift, and enjoys hiking in Colorado with his graphic designer wife.
