Margaret Berg OR Magrikie Berg in her native Afrikaans, was born and raised in South Africa. In 2000 she left her beloved country to pursue her creative passion and continue her studies at Otis College of Art and Design, Los Angeles.

Today, Margaret is fulfilling a lifelong dream of working in a creative industry. Currently, she is an Independent Art Director and Illustrator, working in various facets of the illustration, design and advertising industry. She has been part of creative teams at award-winning agencies such as Art Machine/TrailerPark, where as Senior Art Director, she was responsible for the development and management of advertising campaigns for high profile entertainment and non-entertainment brands and properties. In 2007 she received a Key Art Award nomination for her Pan's Labyrinth poster.

Margaret lives in Santa Monica, CA where she enjoys the fog, seagulls and not needing a car. Her art ranges from illustration and fine art to graphic and movie poster design. Her work is exceptional and her professionalism is exemplified by the list of clients who have utilized her talent.
