Last week I decided to shoot an image of a Peroni bottle. I have been seeing great images come from the Peroni ads and their TV commercials and I felt inspired to shoot something. I wanted to do something simple and original, still utilizing the signature blue. I think this image is successful and it has inspired me to do another similar series.

Bill Cahill: Flying Water

Posted by Workbook on 07/14/2010 — Filed under:  Photography
Bill Cahill’s recent work shows just how complicated it can be to photograph seemingly simple things. http://blog.bill-cahill.com/ and http://www.workbook.com/portfolios/cahill

Photographing some personal work. Flying water on black.  This tends to be more of an exercise in lighting more than anything else. It can be tricky to light water on black because of the constant changing angles of the liquid and its transparent qualities.

Here is an unretouched file from this shoot.
