It's been a long time since my last newsletter. Partly because 2012 was insanely busy, but mainly because I became a new dad on December 15th, 2012. Our son, Odin Brooks Barbour, was born in Portland, OR at 8:23 p.m. He weighed 8 lbs., 8 oz. and was 20.5 inches long. His arrival has brought my wife and me so much happiness and excitement. I'm really loving being a dad and having a family. Click here to meet the little guy.
Anyway, here's what else I've been up to lately…
Ad Campaign for Fleischmann's Yeast
My rep, Adam Renfree, and I were contacted last summer by Minneapolis-based agency, Olson, to shoot this tasty ad campaign for Fleischmann's Yeast. Sometimes the simplest shots can take the most work. Check out my blog post to read about everything I did to go from concept to execution: http://lbpho.to/fleischmanns
Back-to-Back Covers for Gray Magazine
Gray is a beautifully designed and printed magazine focused on architecture, interiors, and design of the Pacific Northwest. The Gothic Office project I photographed for Jessica Helgerson Interior Design was selected as the cover feature for Gray's 1st Anniversary Issue. Then, to my surprise, another project I photographed was selected for the next issue's cover feature. It's the first time I've had back-to-back covers for a magazine. I posted all the tearsheets from both issues on my blog: http://lbpho.to/graycovers

WHEN WORDS FAIL Ad Campaign
Since I like Gray so much, I decided to run an ad campaign to promote my interior and architecture photography services to the Pacific Northwest. I can only take credit for the images. The concept and execution of the campaign was all done by my good friend and Razorfish Senior Art Director, Craig Skinner.
